Nectar Feast

The charity’s name, FAB, highlights the role wildFlowers play, And the crucial nectar they provide, to the life cycle of thousands of insects, of which Butterflies are the best known. FAB believes that by establishing wildflower habitats, nectar becomes abundant, so insects become abundant too, providing more food for animals and birds, and increasing local biodiversity.

Wildflower habitats also improve the local environment for human residents, particularly because many wildflowers are much loved by people, as are the bees and butterflies they attract.  Wildflower habitats will thus bring nature to people’s doorsteps, and strengthen the role of nature in urban people’s lives.
